Speech Studio's Terms of Use

Welcome to Speech Studio! We are Accurate Speech Coaching, Inc., doing business as Speech Studio ("Speech Studio," "we," "us," or "our"), a federally incorporated company in Canada. Our website, speechstudio.ca (the "Website"), offers services to help you improve your speech and communication skills (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing and using our Services, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree with all of these Terms, please do not use our Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. It's a good idea to check back regularly to stay informed of any changes.

Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We strive to offer helpful and accurate information, but we cannot guarantee that everything will always be perfect. Your use of our Services is at your own risk.

We do not make any warranties, express or implied, about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of our Services or any content provided. This means we don't guarantee that the service will be of a particular quality, will fit your specific needs, or won't violate any rights.

We are not responsible for:

1. Errors or inaccuracies in the content.
2. Personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to and use of the Services.
3. Unauthorized access to our secure servers or any personal or financial information stored therein.
4. Interruptions or cessation of transmission to or from the Services.
5. Bugs, viruses, or harmful code that may be transmitted to or through our Services by any third party.
6. Errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of using any content posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Services.

We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party products or services that may be advertised or offered through our Services. If you choose to engage with any third parties, you do so at your own risk.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we—and our directors, employees, and agents—are not responsible for any indirect or unexpected damages that result from your use of our Services. This includes things like loss of data, profits, revenue, or other non-physical losses.

If you make any claims related to your use of the Services, our total liability won't be more than what you've paid us in the six months before the claim or $100 USD, whichever is less.

Please note that some areas don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limits on damages, so these limitations might not apply to you.

You agree to defend and indemnify us, our affiliates, and our respective officers, agents, partners, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

These Terms remain in effect while you use our Services. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or any applicable laws. If your account is terminated, you are prohibited from creating a new account without our permission.

We may change or discontinue parts of the Services at any time. We will try to provide notice when possible, but we are not obligated to do so. We are not liable for any changes, interruptions, or discontinuation of the Services.

We will maintain certain data that you provide to us for the purpose of operating the Services. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your own data. We are not liable for any loss or corruption of data.

We care about your privacy and data security. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

Our Services are hosted in Canada. If you access the Services from outside Canada, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local laws.

Sessions

Fees for individual one-on-one sessions with our service providers are billed before the session takes place. The fee covers the scheduled session on the date and time you select ("Session Time"). You can reschedule a session at no extra cost if you give us at least 24 hours' notice. Please see below for our policy on late cancellations.

Our prices may change from time to time, so please check the current price before booking your session.

Packages

We offer discounted packages of 5 or 10 sessions. You can use these sessions anytime within two years from the date you purchase the package.

No Show or Late Cancellations

If you need to reschedule a session, please let us know at least 24 hours before your Session Time. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not show up for your session, we may charge you the full session fee. We understand that emergencies happen, so we may make exceptions at our discretion.

Refunds

If you cancel a session with more than 24 hours' notice, we can provide a refund, minus a processing fee of 5% to cover credit card and payment processing fees.
